Himena The Gentle Chocolate OP Review

Image
I'm finally making a review of a main piece! Today's review is about an OP from an indie brand called Himena! I've been looking at this dress for a while, I always saw it over on Lacemarket, but I thought it was kinda expensive(?) it is quite simple and more Otome fashion than Lolita. I also thought it was maybe better to save up a bit more and get Japanese brand(?). Well, in the end I got it and I really like it! No regrets!!! I got the OP in pink after thinking for a while if the JSK would be better or not. Eventually, I think I also want to get the JSK. (I got an extra boost after watching Doan's video review , I never saw it in motion before this video, but once I did I was even more in love)  Soooo cute! Some Notes! I got the smallest size which is quite comfortable and has plenty of room for me, except for the sleeve cuffs I got the dress from  Himena's Taobao  store through Spreenow shopping service Price was almost USD $90 before shipping (for the OP and the

Taobao Blouses Review

Hey there 👋 Today's review is about two blouses from Taobao. The white one I got from Devilinspired , and the ivory one I got through Spreenow shopping service. Unfortunately, I no longer have the tags and forgot the name of the brand... The white one is sold out from Devilinspired, but I still wouldn't recommend getting it there if it ever comes back, turns out too expensive after shipping.  Blouse #1 - White Blouse #2 - Ivory. Everybody and their mother has this blouse 🤣 These blouses can also be purchased from many other places. The ivory  one is available at the Loligals  store on Aliexpress. I can't say the exact total price because I bought other things in the same order but it was around $12 USD. The white one was way too expensive because I paid express shipping. A very bad decision! This style of blouse seems very popular, (you can notice they have different cuts but share the same lace) I think it is because the designs are very simple and affordable.  Some det

Red Maria Christmas Melody Tights Review

Hey there! Happy new year! Hopefully, 2021 is kind to all of us! Today I did some Lolita laundry. I washed most of my socks, blouses, petticoat, and a few dresses. It was scary but everything came out okay! While washing all the socks, I thought about doing this review earlier, since the Christmas season is technically over, and these socks (well, tights) are Christmas themed. These are Red Maria Christmas Melody tights in ivory. I bought them from Taobao through Spreenow  shopping service. They also come in white, black, and red, but looks like red is out of stock.  Stock photo, not mine Can't say the exact total price since I also bought other things in the same order, but none of them were heavy. I will guess they were around $16~20 USD including shipping. Originally I just wanted to buy ivory tights or socks to match with brown & ivory dresses, which is the color palette I decided to start with. After looking at too many options, I just thought these were very cute and the

Altering Tulu Tulu Lolita Hoop Skirt

This wasn't going to be my next post buuuut, today I finally got the chance to work on something crafty after soooo long, and I'm so excited! So I decided to write about this, instead of the original post I had in mind. As I said in my previous post , I wanted to alter this hoop skirt because it was a tad longer than what I wanted it. Basically, the hoop skirt measured around ~49cm and I wanted it to be around 45, so I can wear it in my natural waistline, with shorter skirts and more casual dresses. As you can see, I didn't do anything fancy, but definitely something way better than my first rushy attempt 😂 The first step was to remove the lace from the hem. I used my favorite tool, the legendary seam ripper that I always have around because I oftentimes have to undo my stitches.  I love this tool so much. I'm very good friends with this little guy, so I was very happy to get some help from him. It took a while since I had to be careful not to damage the lace nor the s

Tulu Tulu Lolita Adjustable Hoop Skirt Review

Hello everyone, Thanks for visiting my blog. This is my first review. I plan to make one for all the items I have and plan to have. I think it can be very useful for beginner lolitas, and for me, as well 🤣, so I can practice my English fufuf. Today's review is a hoop skirt by Tulu Tulu Lolita! It is called the "Adjustable petticoat" or "The EVERYWHERE chiffon adjustable petticoat". I got the regular size (65 to 90cm waist), in white. It was $35 USD, including airmail shipping, which was surprisingly fast considering all the delays because of the pandemic. Tulu Tulu Lolita is on Store Envy , but they also list their hoop skirts on Lacemarket . I got mine from Lacemarket. This is how it looks, right out of the bag They also have it available in black (which I want to get, maybe sometime in the future). And they also have a plus-size version that stretches up to 120cm. I considered buying this hoop skirt because my first petticoat is super poofy, and it didn't
